Location (easy access to Capitol Reef NP), room amenities (loved having Starbucks Keurig coffee) and view.

Its location plus the backdrop we had from the balcony room was stunning. We were fortunate with the weather to use the balcony both morning and evening. Also Shaun who served us in The Pioneer Kitchen was attentive without being unctuous and made us feel comfortably welcome.

Location is close to Capitol Reef NP. Clean and comfortable beds. View of the mountains was a plus. Typical hotel room (not a “resort” if you are looking for something upscale).

Fairly normal hotel with close distance to the national park and a small village with all necessary facilities (but just a very small general store). The breakfast was nice as it was a regular breakfast to order from a menu instead of the convenience food you get in other hotel chains. The waitress was very friendly and helped us with our selection. The breakfast was very delicious. The hotel is a good choice to explore Capitol Reef NP as well as start your route over Scenic Route #12. To our surprise, there are quite a lot of well rated restaurants in this small village. We stayed just for a night and only selected one but we were happy with our choice.

The amenities, they have double queen with a spectacular view of the Utah scenery of the rustic red landscapes! Morning and evening views were amazing. The facilities have swimming pool with a hot tub and plenty of activities for kids. Not only does it have hotel like vibes, but you won’t want to miss the cabin or Chuck wagon amenities for your hotel choices! I’ll be renting the WAGON next time I’m here, which are available May 1st thru September 31st! Plus they have horseback riding and Llamas for hiking trails wish I’d have known cause I would have love this for sure! Dining in the onsite cafe for breakfast, lunch & dinner for the family feel setting and relaxation! Don’t just stop there, this lil town of Torrey has more than meets the eye… give yourself a day to take in all the small town cozy feels this little town has you won’t be disappointed! Sleep in if you like they don’t wake with the Rooster, this town starts waking about 8am and shuts down about 7pm they have the right idea of keeping it real for relaxation!

The beds were very comfortable. The room was nicely decorated with a nice view. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The quality of the coffee in the room was very good for a Keurig machine. The facilities such as the gym looked very nice, though we were not able to take advantage of them. The location was excellent - it was close to Capitol Reef and to Torrey, where we decided to eat the nights we were there.

The resort was spectacular! Definitely returning to Capital Reef and will stay there. Views were amazing, loved our balcony, watched the sunrise from there, hiked around the huge property, minutes from Torrey and Capital Reef trailheads. Can’t say enough about our spacious room. Lots of amenities included. Had a lovely dinner at the restaurant and even roasted s’mores at the campfire. Truly a gem of a hotel…choose a room, a cabin, tent, or chuckwagon to sleep. You won’t be disappointed!

Fantastic view! Great location. The room is perfect. There's a mini fridge (we wished it had been easier to access), a Keurig machine, a super comfy bed, and a bathroom that makes you feel like a queen (with the curtains that draw across to separate it from the bedroom). We were grateful to have our room refreshed and our coffee replenished (so few resorts/hotels seem to do that any more). The gym is excellent; there's lots of equipment. We were thankful also for the laundry facilities.

Capitol Reef Resort is a gorgeous resort that is just a very short drive from Capitol Reef National Park. The result has many different choices of lodging options: traditional rooms, cabins, teepees, and even covered wagons! We stayed in a room. There is a gift shop in the office and a restaurant on site. The resort has everything you need. The view from our room was 10/10. The picture posted with this review is what the view from our room looked like. There are several huge communal firepits throughout the property that were so nice to use to make s'mores, meet other travelers, and simply relax at after full days in the parks.
